Tribal gradient nails - Fall 2015 nail art stamping design

 

Hey everyone! Its been a while since my last nail design, but I wanted to share with you this super easy nail art idea. This is a nail stamping design, so no fancy brushes or other complicated tools are needed. I wasnt sure what to call it, but it reminds me of a tribal nail design and the ombre gradient makes it so much fun and colorful. I hope you like it and try it our yourself. Here is a list of all the items I used to make this design:

(remember, you do not need to use these exact same items/bands. Im just showing what I used :)

 

 

• Top Coat - Wet n wild (wild shine).
• Top coats are always good to use not only to add shine to the final design, but it can also be used as a base coat to protect your natural nails from staining and it helps make your mani last longer. I like to apply one coat as a base coat and one as a top coat when I am all done with my design.

• White nail polish - (Wet n Wild)
• Whenever I am doing a gradient/sponging design, I like to paint a white base over my nails. Having white as a base makes the colors you will use as your gradient stand out and be more vibrant. I applied two coats becasue this particular white polish was a bit streaky.

• Cosmetic Sponge (from dollar store)
• You will need a cosmetic sponge that you dont mind tossing aftewrwards. You will use it to apply your nail polishes that you want to use for your gradient and then sponging it to your nails. Any cosmetic sponge will work great.

• 3 Nail polishes of your choice for the gradient.
• I chose a blue (Sally Hansen insta dry - Blue bye!), purple (kleancolor love affair) and a pink (spoiled wet and wild).
• Basically what you do next is apply the nail polishes to the sponge. In my case I applied the purple, then the pink and finally the blue on the sponge.
• Next, pat the sponge with the nail polish up and down on each finger nail until you are happy with the gradient. You can repeat and add more layers of polish to the sponge if necessary.

• Stamper Scraper and image plate (Stamper and scraper are from Konad, the image plate is from Bundle monster and the design is from BM 204)
• After your gradient is all dry, you can apply the image stamp. Use white stampng nail polish over the tribal design from the image plate BM 204. Then use the scraper over the plate and quickly transfer the image to the stamper. Align the stamper with thte image to your nail and roll over the nail. You have to be somewhat fast on this step or else the polish on the stamp or stramper will dry and will not transfer to the stamper or to your fingernail.
• Finish by cleaning around the cuticles with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover and applying your favorite top coat.

Unas Diseno Tribal - Diseno Para el otono

 

 

¡Hola a todos! Hapasado ya mucho tiempo desde mi último diseño de uñas, pero quería compartir con ustedes esta idea super fácil de arte de uñas. Se trata de un diseño de estampado, cual se significa que no necesitas  herramientas complicadas . No estaba seguro de cómo llamar este diseno , pero me recuerda a algo tribal y el gradiente ombre hace que sea tan divertido y colorido. Espero que les guste! Aquí está una lista de todo lo que utilize para hacer este diseño :

( recuerda, no necesitas  utilizar estos exactos productos. Sólo estoy mostrando lo que yo utilize :)

• Top Coat - n Wild Wet (Wild shine).

◦Usar Top coat siempre es bueno no solo para añadir brillo al diseño final, pero también se pueden utilizar como una capa de base para proteger las uñas naturales de las manchas, y ayuda a que su mani dure más tiempo. Me gusta aplicar una capa de base y una como capa superior cuando mi diseno este terminado.

• Esmalte de uñas Blanco - (Wet n Wild)

 ◦Cuando hago disenos gradientes / diseño esponja, me gusta pintar una base blanca sobre mis uñas. Tener blanco como base hace que los colores que vaya a utilizar como se destaquen y sean más vibrantes. Yo aplique dos capas de este esmalte blanco en particular.

• Esponja cosmética (de tienda de dólar)
 ◦Vas a necesitar una esponja cosmética que no te importe que le vaya a pasar nada. La utilizarás para aplicar los esmaltes de uñas que desees utilizar para el gradiente. Cualquier esponja cosmética te va a servir.

• 3 esmaltes de uñas de tu preferencia  para el gradiente.

◦Esmalte azul (Sally Hansen insta dry – Blue bye), elsmalte morado o púrpura (Kleancolor – love affair) y un esmalte rosa (spoiled by wet n wild).

◦Basicamente lo que vas a hacer aplicar los esmaltes de uñas con la esponja. En mi caso he aplicado el morado/púrpura, el rosa y, finalmente, el azul en la esponja.

◦Despues, da toquecitos en la una de arriba para abajo en la una hasta que estés satisfecha(o) con el gradiente. Puedes repetir y añadir más capas de esmalte a la esponja si es necesario.

 • Estampador (stamper), scraper y la imagen de la estampa.  (El estampador y el scraper que use  son de Konad, la imagen  de el diseño es es  de BM 204)

◦Despues de que el gradient se seque, utiliza esmalte blanco para estampar  sobre el diseño tribal de BM 204. Despues, utiliza el scraper sobre la imagen y rápidamente transfere  la imagen a la una.  Alinea el estampador con la imagen sobre la uña y roda sobre la uña. Tienes que ser algo rápido en este paso o el esmalte se secara y no transferirá a el estampador  o a la uña.

◦Termina por limpiar alrededor de las cutículas con un algodón empapado en removedor de esmalte y la aplicación de top coat.

Influenster voxbox review 2015 ✨

A couple weeks back I received the maybelline voxbox through influenster. (You can sign up on influenster and get free products like this to try out in return for a review and sharing it on your social networking sites.) Inside it had a foundation called better skin. By now I've had the opportunity to try it and I actually really like it. It makes my skin feel soft and does not make my skin oily. I also love that it has a pump. The only thing I that I wish I would have gotten a shade lighter. 

Taylor swift bad blood inspired nail art - 2015 summer nails

This year's summer jam has definitely been Taylor swift's bad blood. She is even nominated for several VMA's for this song this year including best video of the year, best art director, best cinematography, best direction, best editing, and best visual effects. Bad blood has surely made an impact to the music industry and that is why I decided to make a nail art inspired by her music video feauturing the colors red and black and an accent red bloody nail. 

These are the materials i used for this nail design: 

•Red Polish (Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Right Said Red)

I first applied by painting 2 coats of the red polish on all the nails except the ring finger and letting it dry completely. 

•Black Polish (Revlon Top Speed Black) 

I then used a cosmetic sponge and applied black nail polish to it. I then tapped up and down over the tip of each nail with the red polish until there was a nice gradient. 

•White Polish (Wet N' Wild white ) 

For the ring finger I applied several coats of the white polish until the color was even. 

•Dotting tool 

To create the red bloody drops, I used a dotting tools and applied some red polish. I started by adding uneven dots across the center of the nail. Then I used the red polish to paint the tip of the nail and connected it to dots using the dotting tool.

•Top coat (Wet N' Wild wild shine)

To finish of your manicure and seal in everything finish by applying a layer of shinny top coat of your choice.

Uñas de Regreso a Clase - Fácil y No Herramientas

El verano está a punto de terminar, y esto sólo significa una cosa: es casi temporada de regreso a la escuela! Por lo tanto, aquí está un manicure perfecto y fácil que ustedes pueden usar para cuando llegue ese primer día de clase. 

La mejor parte es que usted no se necesita ninguna herramienta especial para cualquiera de los diseños! Todo lo que necesitas son esmaltes y un palillo de dientes. Back to School NAIL art - no tools needed 2015

Summer is almost over, and this only means one thing: it's almost back to school season! Therefore, here's the perfect and easiest manicure that you can wear for when that first day of class arrives. The best part is that you don't need any special tool for any of hear designs! All you need are polishes and a toothpick. I hope you like it and give it a try so you can see how easy it is! Tutoríal COMO PONER NAIL FOILS (uñas aluminio) - inspiradas por KYLIE jenner

Siempre he encontrado láminas de uñas o nail foils ser tan lindas, y desde que vi Que Kylie jenner llevaba un manicureclavos usandolos, yo quise probarlos yo mismo. Encontré estas láminas de uñas en mi tienda local de Ross y decidí recrear las uñas de kylie de un puesto de Instagram que publicó hace un tiempo. No estoy segura de qué marca son porque tiré la caja, pero una rápida búsqueda en Amazon o en su tienda de arte de uñas favorito sin duda las podrás encontrar. Aparte de que la lista de materiales es muy corta y sencilla como demuestro a continuación.

Materiales:

✿Esmalte que coincida con la hoja del NAIL Foil 

Lo primero que tendrás que hacer es encontrar un esmalte de uñas que sea similar a  las láminas de uñas o NAIL foils que vayas a utilizar. En mi caso voy a utilizar láminas de oro, por lo que el esmalte más cercano que encontré fue un oro metálico. Apliqué 2 capas y esperé a que se seque por completo.

✿Tiras de papel de aluminio color oro.

Después de aplicar el esmalte, vas a necesitar nail foils. Yo use una hoja para cada mano. Lo que hice fue cortar cada tira de papel de aluminio en cinco pedazos que serían suficientes para cada uña y los corte.

✿Pegamento o primer para nail foils

A continuación, vas a aplicar una fina capa de base de primer para lámina de la uñas en cada uña. Este material en general viene con las láminas de las uñas. Al aplicarlo es color blanco lechoso, pero debes esperar hasta que se seque completamente claro. Después de que ya no puedas ver la imprimación / base, agarra un pedazo de papel o nail foil y presiónalo sobre la uña. La lámina debe transferir perfectamente. Si tienes algun parche, basta con pulsar de nuevo hasta que estés satisfecha. Repite para todas las uñas.

✿Tijeras

Sólo necesita tijeras para cortar la lámina en trozos más pequeños.

Consejo: evita el uso de la capa top coat porque arruina completamente el efecto de los nail foils. Esto lo aprendí de la manera difícil.

How to APPLY Gold NAIL FOILS - KYLIE jenner 2015 Inspired nails

I have always found nail foils to be so cool and bold, and ever since I saw Kylie wearing metallic nails, I wanted to try them myself. I found these nail foils at my local Ross store and decided to recreate kylie's nails from an Instagram post she posted a while back. I'm not sure what brand they are because I threw away the box, but a quick search on Amazon or your favorite nail art store surely carry nail foils and nail foil glue. Other than that the materials list is very short and simple as I demonstrate below. 

Materials: 

✿Nail polish that matches the nail foil.

The first thing you will need to do is find a nail polish that closely matches the nail foils you will be using. In my case I'm going to be using gold foils, so the closest polish I found was a metallic gold by l.a colors. I applied 2 coats and waited for it to dry completely. 

✿Nail foil strips - gold color 

Next you'll beed your nail foils. I was as to use one sheet per hand. What I did was cut each set of foil to five squares that would be enough for each nail and cut them. 

✿Nail foil glue/primer 

Then apply a thin layer of nail foil base or primer to each nail. This stuff usually comes with the nail foils (it did for me). It goes on milky white, but you should wait until it dries completely clear. After you can no longer see the primer/base, grab a piece of foil and press it over the nail. The foil should transfer perfectly. If you have any patches, just press again until you are satisfied. Repeat to all nails or you could just do one accent nail.

✿Scissors 

You just need these to cut the foil to smaller pieces. 

Tip: avoid using top coat because it completely ruins the effect of the foil. I learned this the hard way.

How to put on fake nails (full length plastic nails) diy at home

I love long nails, but I can never grow my natural nails. That's why I have to rely on artificial nails to get the length I want. But getting your nails done at a salon regularly can add up to a lot of money. That's why I decided to apply fake nails myself, and save money, time and hassle of getting them done at a salon. This is how I apply fake plastic press on nails.

Here are all the items I used: 

✿HAND SANITIZER

Sanitizing your hands and nails is the first step of any manicure and any nail application. I like to apply hand sanitizer even after washing my hands to ensure my hands and nails are clean and germ free. This also helps prevent any infection or fungus  from growing between your natural nail and the artificial nail. 

✿CUTICLE PUSHER AND CUTICLE REMOVER. 

The next step is to push back your cuticles. If you have very stubborn or tough cuticles I recommend you use a cuticle remover. I forgot to add it in the picture where I show all products, but it is the Sally Hansen instant cuticle remover. I just add a small amount around the each cuticle and let it sit there for about 10-15 second max. Then I use a cuticle pusher and viola! I like to do one hand at a time and Wash my hands afterwards to remove any product.

✿NAIL FILE/Nail Buffer

Gently buffing your nails is a very important  step because it removes the natural shine from your nails. This is important because it will help the fake nail adhere better to the natural nail and in turn they will last a longer time. Just be sure to not use an abrasive nail file or to over file the surface of the nail. I like to use a sanding block for the nail surface and a hard gritt nail file for shaping the nails. 

✿Nail Prep

This is a product that I discovered not too long ago. I was skeptical about trying it but I had heard so many things about it. I got it at Sally's beauty supply and it cost me about $8 (don't quote me on this). But trust me, it makes a huge difference on how long your nails Stay on. You spray it on a cotton and then wipe your nails after filing the surface. What it does is remove the dust, dehydrated the oil and sanitizes the nail. In my opinion this is what makes fake nails last a longer time.

✿FULL LENGHT ARTIFICIAL PLASTIC NAILS 

Make sure you get the full length nails that cover your whole nails. I got mine from Amazon and they were only a couple of dollars (like $4) for a pack of 500. They come in 10 sizes. Fit each nail over your fingers to make sure it it the right size for each nail.

✿NAIL GLUE 

After you find the correct size for each nail, apply a generous amount of nail glue to the fake nail. Immediately press it over your natural nail and wait about 10 seconds until the glue dries and it feels secure. You want to make sure you don't leave any air bubbles because doing so can grow fungus and bacteria. I recommend that you invest on a good nail glue because it does make a difference on how long your nails stay on. The one used I purchased sallys beauty and is by beauty secrets. It was around $5. I've had it for a couple months now and it has not clogged and I still have a lot of it left. 

✿NAIL TIP CUTTER and NAIL FILE

The last step is to cut and shape the nails. Use a tip cutter if you have one, but if you don't, a regular nail cutter works just as fine. Then use a hard gritt nail file to file and Shape the nail to however you want. Recently I've been into long square nails, so that's how I did them here. 

LASTLY, paint with your favorite nail polish or create a unique design!

Como Aplicar Uñas Postizas De Plastico FÁCIL EN CASA!!

A mi me encantan las uñas largas, pero desafortunadamente nunca puedo dejar crecer mis uñas naturales. Por esa razón dependo de uñas artificiales para poder tener uñas largas. Pero ponerse uñas en el salón puede salir muy caro. Por esa razón decidí tratar uñas postizas yo misma y así ahorrar dinero y tiempo. Aquí les voy a mostrar como yo me pongo uñas postizas. (También tengo un post y un video de como aplicar uñas de gel uv https://youtu.be/gbbs8qSRe5E ).

Estas son todas las cosas que utilizé:

✿Desinfectador de manos

Desinfectar las manos y las uñas es el primer paso de cualquier manicure. Me gusta aplicar desinfectante de manos , incluso después de lavarme las manos para asegurarse de mis manos y las uñas estén limpias y libres de gérmenes. Esto también ayuda a prevenir cualquier infección o hongo de crecer entre la uña natural y la uña artificial .

✿EMPUJADOR DE CUTICULAS Y REMOVEDOR DE CUTICULAS

El siguiente paso es empujar para atrás las cutículas. Si tienes cutículas muy  difíciles de empujar, recomiendo que utilices un removedor de cutículas. Se me olvidó añadirlo en la imagen donde muestro todos los productos, pero es de la marca Sally Hansen y se llama "instant cuticle remover". Añido una pequeña cantidad alrededor de la cutícula de cada dedo y dejao reposar allí durante aproximadamente 10 a 15 segundos máximo. Después uso un empujador de la cutícula y la list ! Me gusta hacer una mano a la vez. Después me lavo las manos para remover el producto.

✿Limador de uñas 

Lijar la superficie de las uñas es un paso muy importante ya que elimina el brillo natural de tus uñas. Esto es importante porque ayudará a la uña falsa adhierir  mejor a la uña natural y en cambio va a durar más tiempo. Sólo asegúrate de no utilizar una lima de uñas abrasiva o sobrelijar la uña. Me gusta usar un bloque de lija blanco en la superficie de las uñas, y una lima de uñas Gritt duro para dar forma a las uñas.

✿PREPARADO DE UÑAS O 'Nail Prep'

Este es un producto que no descubrí hace mucho tiempo. Al principio no estaba segur de tratarlo, pero había oído tantas cosas buenas sobre él. Lo compré en productos de belleza de Sally y me costó alrededor de $8. Pero confía en mí , que hace una gran diferencia en la duración de las uñas postizas. Se rocea en un algodón y luego limpias las uñas con el. Lo que hace es quitar el polvo , el aceite deshidratado y desinfecta la uña. Debes dejar que se seque muy bien para continuar.

✿UÑAS POSTIZAS DE TAMAÑO COMPLETO 

Asegúrate de obtener las uñas de tamaño competo cuales cubren toda la uña, y no tíos. Yo compre las mías en Amazon por aproximadamente $ 4 por un paquete de 500. Vienen en 10 tamaños diferentes. Coloca cada uña sobre los dedos para asegurarte de que sea el tamaño adecuado para cada uña.

✿PEGAMENTO PARA UÑAS

Después de que hayas encontrado el tamaño correcto para cada uña, aplica una generosa cantidad de pegamento de uñas a la uña falsa. Inmediatamente presionarla sobre la uña natural y espera unos 10 segundos hasta que el pegamento se seque y se sienta seguro. Tienes que asegurarte de no dejar  burbujas de aire, ya que hacerlo puede crear bacterias.

✿CORTADOR DE UÑAS ARTIFICIALES Y LIMA GRUESA

El último paso es cortar y dar forma a las uñas. Usa un cortador de uñas postizas si tienes uno, pero si no lo tienes esta bien ya que puedes usar un cortador de uñas regular y  funciona igual de bien. Despues utiliza una lima de uñas Gritt duro dar forma a las uñas. Recientemente me e estado haciendo mis uñas en forma cuadrada.

POR ÚLTIMO, pinta tus uñas con el esmalte de uñas que más te guste o crea un diseño único!
