How to APPLY Gold NAIL FOILS - KYLIE jenner 2015 Inspired nails

I have always found nail foils to be so cool and bold, and ever since I saw Kylie wearing metallic nails, I wanted to try them myself. I found these nail foils at my local Ross store and decided to recreate kylie's nails from an Instagram post she posted a while back. I'm not sure what brand they are because I threw away the box, but a quick search on Amazon or your favorite nail art store surely carry nail foils and nail foil glue. Other than that the materials list is very short and simple as I demonstrate below.

Materials:
Nail polish that matches the nail foil.
The first thing you will need to do is find a nail polish that closely matches the nail foils you will be using. In my case I'm going to be using gold foils, so the closest polish I found was a metallic gold by l.a colors. I applied 2 coats and waited for it to dry completely.

Nail foil strips - gold color
Next you'll beed your nail foils. I was as to use one sheet per hand. What I did was cut each set of foil to five squares that would be enough for each nail and cut them.

Nail foil glue/primer
Then apply a thin layer of nail foil base or primer to each nail. This stuff usually comes with the nail foils (it did for me). It goes on milky white, but you should wait until it dries completely clear. After you can no longer see the primer/base, grab a piece of foil and press it over the nail. The foil should transfer perfectly. If you have any patches, just press again until you are satisfied. Repeat to all nails or you could just do one accent nail.

Scissors
You just need these to cut the foil to smaller pieces.

Tip: avoid using top coat because it completely ruins the effect of the foil. I learned this the hard way.

How to put on fake nails (full length plastic nails) diy at home

I love long nails, but I can never grow my natural nails. That's why I have to rely on artificial nails to get the length I want. But getting your nails done at a salon regularly can add up to a lot of money. That's why I decided to apply fake nails myself, and save money, time and hassle of getting them done at a salon. This is how I apply fake plastic press on nails.

(I also have a post/and video on how to apply your own uv gel nails here  👉https://youtu.be/gbbs8qSRe5E)

Here are all the items I used:

HAND SANITIZER

Sanitizing your hands and nails is the first step of any manicure and any nail application. I like to apply hand sanitizer even after washing my hands to ensure my hands and nails are clean and germ free. This also helps prevent any infection or fungus  from growing between your natural nail and the artificial nail.

CUTICLE PUSHER AND CUTICLE REMOVER

The next step is to push back your cuticles. If you have very stubborn or tough cuticles I recommend you use a cuticle remover. I forgot to add it in the picture where I show all products, but it is the Sally Hansen instant cuticle remover. I just add a small amount around the each cuticle and let it sit there for about 10-15 second max. Then I use a cuticle pusher and viola! I like to do one hand at a time and Wash my hands afterwards to remove any product.

NAIL FILE/Nail Buffer

Gently buffing your nails is a very important  step because it removes the natural shine from your nails. This is important because it will help the fake nail adhere better to the natural nail and in turn they will last a longer time. Just be sure to not use an abrasive nail file or to over file the surface of the nail. I like to use a sanding block for the nail surface and a hard gritt nail file for shaping the nails.

Nail Prep

This is a product that I discovered not too long ago. I was skeptical about trying it but I had heard so many things about it. I got it at Sally's beauty supply and it cost me about $8 (don't quote me on this). But trust me, it makes a huge difference on how long your nails Stay on. You spray it on a cotton and then wipe your nails after filing the surface. What it does is remove the dust, dehydrated the oil and sanitizes the nail. In my opinion this is what makes fake nails last a longer time.

FULL LENGHT ARTIFICIAL PLASTIC NAILS
Make sure you get the full length nails that cover your whole nails. I got mine from Amazon and they were only a couple of dollars (like $4) for a pack of 500. They come in 10 sizes. Fit each nail over your fingers to make sure it it the right size for each nail.

✿NAIL GLUE
After you find the correct size for each nail, apply a generous amount of nail glue to the fake nail. Immediately press it over your natural nail and wait about 10 seconds until the glue dries and it feels secure. You want to make sure you don't leave any air bubbles because doing so can grow fungus and bacteria. I recommend that you invest on a good nail glue because it does make a difference on how long your nails stay on. The one used I purchased sallys beauty and is by beauty secrets. It was around $5. I've had it for a couple months now and it has not clogged and I still have a lot of it left.

✿NAIL TIP CUTTER and NAIL FILE

The last step is to cut and shape the nails. Use a tip cutter if you have one, but if you don't, a regular nail cutter works just as fine. Then use a hard gritt nail file to file and Shape the nail to however you want. Recently I've been into long square nails, so that's how I did them here.

LASTLY, paint with your favorite nail polish or create a unique design!

Influenster Bella Vox Box Whats inside Unboxing

It's been a long while since I received a vox box from influenster. In case you've never heard of it, influenster is a website where you sign up and occasionally receive boxes full of goodies (called vox boxes). The only cath if you want to continue getting more boxes in the future is that you have to spread the word about the products through your social networking sites. On influenster, you can also raise your score by doing reviews about different products.

Anyhow, I received a survey to see if I qualified and a couple days later I got an email saying I was in and would be receiving my Bella vox box soon. I got my box about two weeks later. Here's what came inside:
The box is a bright pink rectangle like this one 👆. When I opened it up it had three flyers with information. The first one was the influenster one that gave a description and prices for each product. There was also one from eBay and the other one from club w wine. The rest of the items were the product goodies:

The first thing is this eco tools face brush. It is called the complexion collection mattyfying finish face brush. I have several face brushes in my collection but I can never have too many. This one was great for applying face powder and it is super soft. I also love that the handle is blue and green.
The next thing in the Bella vox Box was this rimmel London Kate scandal eyes mascara. I absolutely love the packaging and the wand. I already tried it out and it did a great job adding lengt and volume to my lashes.
I'm not a big lipstick girl but I really liked this one. It is the rimmel London lasting finish lipstick from the Kate moss collection. I loved that the color was a soft pink and the formula was very soft and hydrating to the lips. I tried it and it lasted for a couple hours before it starts to wear out.

I am always craving chocolate so this next item was perfect for me. As I am writing this, I have already finished this bag of chocolates all by myself. It is the dove whole blueberries dipped in dove dark chocolate. I don't normally like dark chocolate but I could not stop eating these. I will be buying these again!

This next product is for the hair. I'm not entirely sure what it's purpose is or how to use it yet but I'll find out. I've never heard of this brand orbordict before so I'm looking forward to testing it out.
Finally the next item I got were a 2 pack sample size of the Sally Hansen airbrush legs tanning lotion. Now that summer is coming I will definitely be using these. I tried a small amount on my leg and it did give a tanner and darker look, so in exited to use it on my entire legs.

Do you receive the Bella vox box? Which item was your favorite and least favorite? Are you signed up to influenster and have you gotten other vox boxes? I want to know. Comment below :)

Floral NAIL design

I love spring and summer flowers so much! That's why i made this easy and simple mani featuring flowers. It is super easy. You just need 3  nail polishes of your choice along with a dotting tool (or a toothpick or anything you can use as a dotting tool). I really hope you like it and maybe try it out yourself!

Ok, so here are the things I used:
•Orange polish (or Any light colored polish)
•light blue polish
•Gray polish (or Any darker colored polish)
•gold polish (this Will be FOR the center of the flowers
•Dotting tool (IF you don't have one, you can just use a toothpick or make your own like I did. I just used a sowing pin and pushed it to a pencil eraser and voila!)

Step one: base colors
The first thing you'll need to do is apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from getting stained. You can really use any clear polish, even a topcoat. Then choose your base colors. I painted thumb, ring and pinky fingers orange, and the pointer and middle fingers a mint color.

Step 2: paint the flowers
Now use the dotting tool and dip it in the nail polish you want the flowers to be. Make small dots close to each other in a circle and that will create your flowers.

Step 3: finish the flowers and top coat
Finish the flowers by dipping the dotting tool in a gold colored nail polish and painting a small dot in the center of each flower. This will make the flowers look so much better. Finally, seal all of your nails with a top coat of your choice.

I really hope you liked this design and remember that you can watch the video version of this design on my youtube channel: youtube.com/glamified92

Magnetic Water Melon Nails

I don't know about you, but there is no other fruit for that is most perfect for summer than a delicious slice of red jucy watermelon. Not only does it taste awesome, but it's super healthy because it is full of antioxidants and it's great for keeping you cool and hydrated during those hot summer days! So why not show it off in your nails? :)

Here are all of the items I used:

Here's a video on my youtube channel: Youtube.com/glamified92 where you can watch a video on these summer nail designs and more. Don't forget to subscribe!

Watch the video tutorial for this nail design:

Easy Colurful Ombre Gradient Nails

Nothing shouts spring and summer than bold bright fun colors. This nail design is perfect because it is an explosion of just that! This design looks complicated, but it is the funnest and easiest to do. It's a bit messy and you need quite a few polishes, but it's all worth it!!! It kinda reminds me of tye die rainbow or a beautiful beach sunset.

Here's what I used:

Try to use colors that are opaque and vibrant. You do not have to use these exact polishes and brands. This is just what I had.
  • White polish: Sally Hansen Xtreme wear -White on
  • Cosmetic sponge
(White is for the base color. Having a white color as the base will allow the colors to pop and show more vibrant than if you do  not use a white base. Important: Allow the white to dry COMPLETELY  before you start to sponge or else the sponge will stick to the polish and the end result will not look nice.
  • Blue polish: Sally Hansen Insta dry- Blue By!
  • Purple polish: kleancolor lavenbaby
  • Pink polish: Sally Hansen insta dry fast fuchsia
  • Orange polish: loreal boozy beach
  • Yellow polish kleancolor neon yellow
Once you have your colors ready, line them up near you so can have easy access to them. Line them up in the order that you will be using them and loosen the cap so that when you are ready to start you can just applithe colors to the spoge faster. Start by applying the darkest color to the sponge horizontaly and go down using the next color until you have all the colors on the sponge. Try to do this fast to the polish will not dry on the sponge.
  • Nail polish reover or acetone - I used a polish remver from target.
  • Top coat- Nail envy Acrylic strong.
Finishing with a topcoat is very important. Not only will it add shine to your finished nails, but it helps blend the colors together. Trust me, it makes a difference.
